Is it possible that a worn exhaust cam lob could cause the cyclinder to build enough pressure to prevent the intake valve from opening resulting in a bent intake pushrod?

I have bent #1 intake pushrod twice. Both time was at 24+ boost and 5000-5300 RPMs. The car has lost 10 MPH also. I pulled the valve cover and with the engine running it appears that valve it not moving as much as the other exhaust valve but kinda hard to tell for sure by eye or feel.

Yes, it is possible, it is even likely. My dually does the exact same thing. For some reason, the block in it kills a cam about every 20K miles, always an exhaust lobe. When it does, it will bend or break the intake pushrod on that cylinder. As a matter of fact, the cam is down right now, and I'm going to put another cam in it in a week or two. Number 8 exhaust lobe is gone, and number 8 intake pushrod is bent. I need to finish out this year before I just junk the truck out, so I'll put a used cam in it and drive it 2 or 3 times a month.
 
Usually a bad exhaust lobe will cause a backfire through the intake, since the cylinder cannot get rid of its spent charge. There is a tool to measure valve lift, but I dont know how to use the damn thing:confused:
