I have been told that my turbo is a TE-60 but I don't know for sure can someone put this to rest?

Pics:
http://f2.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/vhgfgj/my_photos

The compressor side has a 2 3/4 inch intake.

The exhaust housing has a 2 3/8 inch outlet.

What trim is this p,q, gt? It's all jibberish to me!

Also will a 2800 spool it?
I am hoping stock heads will get me by, I know I should get them ported, is this a must have? If not, will it make a major difference?

Thanks

Savage6,

From the pics you really can't tell. The turbo is a TE type turbo as it doesn't have a stock appearing compressor housing. It appears to be new so where did it come from? Why not ask the vendor or MFG the question? BTW, if it is a TE 60 I would tell you that the wastegate hole is way too small and will lead to overboost problems. Best bet is that the turbine wheel is a "P" trim or something smaller not a "Q" or a GTQ. In regard to your convertor question, if indeed this is a TE 60 turbo I would tell you you don't have enough convertor.

Sorry I can't offer much more insight.

Neal
