Is this the aluminum apply piston that is prone to cracking?





Mine wasn't like that and had a plastic holder for the springs.

Yes, stay away. If you must use aluminum get a billet one from Dave. Or double up on the stock steel stamped rings inside the piston. You will have to cut the inner smaller. This will double the apply area. Next trick that was just shown to me few weeks ago.

cool, I had never seen one before. I looked for the billet one when I was building mine but everyone was out of stock so I just put the stock stuff back in. I like the double ring Idea. Amazing what hot rodders come up with.

We make an aluminum piston for the overdrive,low reverse ,direct and forward.Might do the overrun shortly.
