Is your 60/40 mix cloudy?

I have been running 100% denatured and decided to try a 60% alcohol, 40% distilled water mix. Is it normal for the 60/40 mix to be so cloudy that I can't even see thru 2" of the mix?

You have oil in it that's why, correct?
I would not run oil with any water.

How then can you do the switch? I will be trying to run 70/30 mixture and before I am using denatured with wd40. How then can I rid the oil? What effects will there be with the remaining oil in the resevoir?

How do you do the switch?

Pump it out and put new in

I wouldn't worry about a little left in there.

BINGO!! My tank was about half full of 100% denatured and MM oil when I added the 60/40 mix. I just thought it was odd that it was clear with a slight tint from the oil until I added the water. Now I have about 3 quarts of 60/40 mix with the MM oil mixture on "standby". As long as it doesn't hurt anything, I could care less what it looks like! I just wasn't expecting it to look like it does.
