Slowly but surely.. just letting you guys know.. the car will be up soon. I've had a pinched nerve in my back for the past 2 months and just walking around is a huge pain in the ass.. much less working on the car.

Once its together.. incase you guys forgot.. the setup will be..

3" home made cold air kit
turbonetics stage 3 cheetah
jay carter pro-pain propane kit
my pretty repainted stock intake

this all bolted to my new purchase..
a 109 block rebuilt 5000mi ago with:

arp main studs
TRW forged pistons
comp 206 cam

oh and i bought a complete engine harness from someone so hopefully the electrical BS will be gone..

as of right now, the engine bay looks kinda like this

soOoOoOooo... it should be fun once i get more time to complete it.

for anyone wanting to see pics... i have tons:

when i pulled everything but the block the first time cause it overheated and warped a head:

putting the new motor in:

of course once its back together... if there are no gremlins i'm gonna head straight for either a dyno or an 8th mile track.. and we'll see how it runs. :)

see you guys soon!

Is that an 86/87 alternator you have on there? I gotta say though, the repainted intake and stuff, it looks real nice.

i went to vatozone and asked for an LT1 impala SS alternator... then walked to the HELP section, grabbed a plug for it... went home and swapped the pullies... bingo.. 140a alternator

:D

fwiw, i have a n/a bracket though.. not a hotair bracket... i dont think it will fit a hotair bracket...

for the intake, valvecovers, and pulleys...

after using multiple paint strippers to get them to bare aluminum and a pressure washer to get the gunk out of every nook and cranny, i put on two coats of dupli-color gunmetal gray hi-temp wheel paint.. then sanded the fins and put on two coats of dupli-color wheel clear... this is the same paint and process i used on my GTA rims.. so it all matches...

good to hear you're making progress....those parts look good

I can't wait till you get that thing running again. I'm anxious to see what that propane can really do! I wish I had the time and funds to take mine apart again and do it up right...maybe in a few years.

Keep us informed!

sweet looking ride! I hope it is running soon!
Nice intake and awesome color!
