I had a huge problem like that back in 1999 .I divorced her:biggrin: And still have the buick. Kick the meatsticks out . You can try to get a piece off the chick for pain and suffering. Let me tell you were that is gonna end up.right back were you are at. I dont care how hot she is .Boot her too. good luck. I like the bit about making it look like a robbery. pretty good idea. After watching C.S.I Miami you dont stand a chance.

My father always taught me to never do business with friends of family cause they will be the first to F... you. There is always the eviction process.

Since that chick wasnt paying the least she could have done is let a tag team go down.. Anything-hands mouth chin something... But dont go after her now cause that toothless fvck is hittin it already...Hopefully you can get them out. Like said posting pics are worth a 1000 words.. Good luck....

I no longer have a roommate or even my son's mother living with me and I love it! Just Me, my dog, and my son! I personally dont have as much money as before but I could care less. Your living space is the most important aspect of your life. If you are not peacefull where you live, you wont enjoy your life. My roomate I had was a pretty good guy actually. He didnt make much mess and helped anytime I needed it but when Ashley got pregnant, I kicked Clayton out and she moved in. BIG MISTAKE! Life was HELL! We just didnt match each others lifestyles/ I am a complete neat freak and she could care less if she had to crowd surf over garbage just to get into the bedroom. I felt like I was living in hell. Not to mention the fact that we didnt personally get along either. Now she is moved out and I am living in heaven trying to rebuild on my own!

hah, you guys crack me up

I won't post picts, but the chick is definitely easy on the eyes  Thats probably increased my tolerance level for her around.

I'm really dreading the financial hit I will take if I kick him out. I will lose at least 1000 if I decide I want to try and stay in this house because I'm sure I will have at least one month that I will have to pay rent on my own provided I can find a new roommate.

The other option is me telling them that I will move out and then finding some crappy 1 bedroom apartment. The problem there is that I put up the whole deposit for this house and I can guarantee he will not be giving it back to me at least any time soon. He is so financially irresponsible I don't think hes ever had that much money in his bank account.

Funny side story about that... He is driving around his car with expired registration and gets pulled over for hauling ass on the freeway. Gets a ticket for speeding. Court date rolls around and he just doesn't go! So now he has a bench warrant out on him. Has he done anything to resolve the situation? No... But, around this same time he decides that he absolutely needs a new set of cymbals (he is a drummer in a band) so he drops something like 800 dollars on a set because they are apparently more important than NOT GOING TO JAIL and incurring God knows how much more expenses. Thats another thing that I'm sure is going to cause late rent here any day now.

I've contemplated moving out and in the process letting our friendly police officers know where this dude is at. I have a feeling they wouldn't do anything though.

Ok, I made my decision. I am going to move out. It is going to end up putting the financial burden on him now because he is going to have to return pretty much the whole deposit to me which is 1700 dollars. In addition to that, half of what the refrigerator cost which was a little over 300 since we split it. He will also still owe me for the utilities that I already paid which I think is going to come out to around 70 dollars. So right now the total is around $1920.

I just spoke to him and told him this isn't working out and that I was moving out and asked him if he was going to be able to give me the money and he said no, not unless he sells some car he has (a 63 impala wagon, pretty beat) I have a feeling he won't be paying me for a long time unless I legally force him to.

So now I need some legal advice as to how I can go about making him pay me back. I don't know the first thing about getting a lawyer and taking him to court over this but I think I may have to learn.

Anyway, here are a couple of pictures for your viewing pleasure.
The first two are of my room about 2 weeks ago
The last picture is of his room on the same day I took the first two

He has since at least assembled his bed but it still looks like a disaster in there.

Pablo I hate to say this but I think you are fighting a loosing battle .. Ya can't get blood from a stone .. Lawyers cost $$$ ... IF you go to court and he even shows up ..all he has to do is give some BS sob story and he walks and will pay you when he is able  this totally sucks especially around this time of year.. good luck ..(oh don't kill em ... jail sucks to ) :frown:

Opinion

If there is a bench warrant out on him - tell them where to find him. Keep the place (it was your deposit). Since he'll probably be in jail for not having the money to post bond or pay the fine then he has vacated the property. Bottom line it will cost you either way to get rid of him.

1. Who's name is on the lease?
2. Contact your landlord and explain the situation. As a landlord I would be more willing to help someone who came to me with a problem. Depending on the contract there are things that can be done. (I personally would allow a tenant to play catch up on rent while finding another roommate - limited time only)

Since it was your deposit and credit - I would keep the place. You may end up contacting an attorney but I would first contact the local courthouse and ask what filing information must be completed to file a suit against him. Nonpayment etc.. As for the girlfriend and father - tell them out! Call the police and have them removed. Your landlord can help with this. If the lease was for you and your roommate then you are in violation if more than 2 are residing at the house. Your landlord can help you.

Horrible leasson to learn - either way it will cost you. Better to act now then regret more later. Hope things turn out OK.

Sad to inform you but it sounds like a $1920 lesson to me. These kind of deals can go either way but I wouldn't count on seeing any of that money unless you beat it out of him, and that's not exactly legal. Take the fridge with you and anything he might have of value to 'hold' as collateral.

I've had these situations before I finally decided the $ just wasn't worth the hassle of trying to have housemates. Funny thing is with family/friends either they're really great or really awful. I've been on the winning side with friends as roommates most of the time (I guess if people are going to put up with me- they're not generally that kind of person).

EVERYONE who has had a roommate has had this story. There are a lot of people in this world whose parents didn't do a good job of raising them and dammit I am not the one to finish the job.

If the lease is in your name, get the LL to help.

But if you ever think you're going to get your $- you're not. It'll cost more to get the $ back. If it's your fridge, take it, and if the utilities are in your name, cut them off, but cut your losses. Life lesson learnt kind of thing.

If you really want to get rid of them, pick one of them, get drunk, and hit on them. That is guaranteed to make them leave. ;0
