I was curious for a long time about the use of alky, now I have experienced it . I had set the boost at 25lbs. on a mid 60 degree day and havent fooled with it since. I put the kit on the car and the day I tested it fully a cold front had come thru and the boost was around 28lbs. The DS said absolutely 0 knock! I installed my nozzle in the hose between tb and Int pipe rather than ruining a good pipe. Works great and the nozzle is a little more recessed out of the air pathway. Is there a way to adjust when the alky comes on? I would rather have a 10lb activation than 4. Probably in my instructions somewhere but havent seen it. Anyone on the fence about the use of alc. on their car I looked for a couple of years for evidence that would convince me not to buy it. I bought it , Im :D . Razor was excellent to deal with. Would recommend him to anyone.;)

Man thanks for the thumbs up :)

Ok.. inside the main controler behind the little access door are two controls. One sets when the system activates"Turnon". Turning the knob clockwise raises the turnon.

Now get this..this is important.. if you raise the turnon.. then the ramp from the turnon point also has to be increased. I'll explain in laymans terms.. see if you start at 5 PSI and go to 25 PSI boost... then if you start at 7 PSI.. you will now have at 27 PSI boost what you had before at 25 PSI. So raising turnon point you need to increase the "Initial" control as well since now the resolution is less.

See going from 5 to 25 you have a 20 PSI window of resolution for the box to increase drive to the pump. If you start at 10 going to 25 then now the resolution is less, meaning it has to start a lot more aggressive and ramp up more aggressive so we can get you the same amount at 25 PSI.

The 5 PSI turnon for most cars(majority) isnt an issue. Remember the controller is progressive, meaning at low boost levels will deliver low volumes.. and as the boost rises..increases the delivery. Also turning it on lower assures a better chance of having the lines primed and ready to go by the time the motor is past 15 PSI.

And as always.. you playing with the car and have a question.. drop me a call and i'll walk you through it.

Wickedtt, I went through the initial testing to make sure there wasnt any problems and nailed it , 28lbs , smooth as silk. O2s are a little fat at 830s but I have since turned down the fuel as recommended by JD. It is almost plug and play. I did turn the gain up to 3/4 on the initial blast. Any street car will be :D especially with racing fuel costing so much. No more making homade octane booster or paying out the:eek: for 110 to run on the street with.

Think I'll go with the relay so I can put a few more cricks in its tail before take off. Thanks again.

Didn't want to start a new thread so I figured I'd hop on this one. I installed Julios kit last weekend. This weekend I got my chip from Turbotweak in and all I can say is wow! For years I've been running 91 octane because I drive it daily and have never been able to run more than 12-13 psi of boost. Now I'm running 22 psi without a trace of KR and I still have the factory settings on the PAC with the gain about a third of a turn on. :D I'd try to turn up the wick even more but my tranny is painfully weak and it's really starting to "freak out" about the power being put through it. That will be fixed next week. As far as installation it was relatively easy, just follow the directions and take your time. Sorry for the long post I'm just really stoked about it. My hat's off to a couple of guys selling great products with great service. :) Thanks. james
