I have been reading up on his built short blocks, and am now considering buying his short block, a set of champion GN1 heads, with a built tranny, for my motor tranny setup. then buy a High mile T-Type in which to install it. I think this would give me a good start on which to modify for a Ultra reliable 11 second street car. please feel free to give me any comments. as I have stated before this is all new too me.

I am very happy with Jacks work, weather it's a buick or other engine. He does a great job. He will also take the time to answer any questions you might have and not make you feel like he's brushing you off to do something else.

The champion gn1's are probably a little overkill for what your looking for. Jak can set you up with a set of worked irons for less money that will be more than you need for your goals. And maybe use the extra money you saved on a roller cam.

I chatted with Jack yesterday at Etown as we were both sponsors of Buick Performance weekend.

I think Jack will be able to do you right now that he is divorced with Ron and IMO not subject to engine building tolerance coming out of Ohio.

Best of luck to you.

>>> Brian,

I never had an axe to grind with Jack Merkel and whenever I saw him he was always respectful and civil to me and I have never had a motor done by him.

As far as other harmony between myself and Ron I do not see that occuring now or in the future, but hey that is my issue as well as others to work out with him or not work out with him.
