If you guys want to spend 350.00 for bottom seat covers be my guest. I called today and thought that was outrageous!! The lady didn't seem to be very customer friendly either. Why can't all us GN nuts out there just try to help one another out? And be reasonable on prices? Especially the attitudes as well? Just don't understand some vendors. NOS4GN is a really nice guy, and so are the folks at postons. Hope no one is offended by this thread, but it just eerks me.

Unfortunately until somebody somewhere starts offering the OE style material again the options are limited, as far as helping out you could make that argument about pretty much every vendor. Talked to Denise several times over the years and always had a good experience with her and Jax overall.

They don't match that well anyway so it's no big loss. It's pretty obvious that mine are recovers. The gray is off and the material itself is not an exact match. It's particularly obvious on the headrests.

In retrospect I wish I had gone with leather. That way it's clear that you weren't going for an original look and had failed at it. I still might go that route one of these days. Need to put an engine in the car first

I did the all leather option from them and hve been tickled to death, she was very nice, AND helpfull!! her knowledge of the product was second to none.. you get what you pay for.. 350.00 for 1 seat bottom IS high, I don"t care who it is.. spend another 700 and do the leather... you"ll thank me for it later :) ,, steve

I've done a good amount of business with Paul and Denise at Jax over the years, I've never had a problem. They've worked on numerous GNs and Turbo Regals for me, as well as a bunch of daily driver cars. They have always been reasonable with me, and the quality has always been very good. No complaints here. Hey, we all have a sh*tty day once in awhile, maybe you just caught Denise on one, I dunno. She's always real nice when I call, even when she doesn't know its me (don't call very often) :D

Just my two pennies...

I'm surprised you had a bad experience. I've dealt with Jax on several occasions and always had a good experience. I guess everyone has a bad day now and then. Here's my latest:

Did you do the leather yourself? I'm thinking about this for my next project. Also did you do the leather on the doors and back panel at the same time? Any pictures?

am getting ready to do a full leather swap on one of my cars soon (doors and rear seat inserts as well). No worse an install as regular cloth seats, just have to let the leathers sit out in sunlight for a bit to "soften" them up a little

Chris..that looks great to me.. has to be better than 20 year old faded out seats :p

Yes, I bought them there and they installed them for me. I don't remember the exact amount, maybe around $300. two years ago. I'm having them do my roof and visors in the Spring.

Have to disagree...it's not an exact match as far as color but IMO about as close as you can get without using the original OEM material...here are seats I had redone using JAX covers...the material itself is an exact match to that of the back seat (which is OEM original)...

thanks i called them and they cant get that shade of grey anymore f@#k!!!

They have done several things for me and I've always been very happy about the quality... My stuff was all custom too!
Most of the other knock off stuff that other vendors look cheezy.
Spend the extra and do it right.
Do a material that's close.. your the only one who will know... Unless your doing a total oem restoration.. who cares?

Jax - great quality & service

I've had them do a number of things for me over the years - always great service - honest appraisal and finish dates from Paul & Denise and their crew. As is true with many TR vendors... they and some employees are/or were TR owners.

A couple years ago I needed sunvisors recovered to match my interior. Denise told me they had enough material and if I put the cores in the mail they would send out when finished. I asked how long they needed to finish the recover and was told they could be done in a few hours if scheduled shop work was caught up. I asked if they could set aside some time to do this on a Tuesday in about two weeks. If they could, I would bring them in early Tue AM in two weeks. I was warned not to arrive too early or I 'd have to wait for someone to open the doors - LOL.

Long story short I dropped visors off in the morning and picked them up after the afternoon Brewer game and headed home. Very reasonable $ and nice workmanship. While I don't think they would be able to do this often, it certainly was a big plus and they earned my return business.
