Some of you guys know that I was getting this done. I just wanted to let you guys know this is a worth investment! Well I drove the car today going to and from work noticed a big improvement in throttle responce. Now when I gas it it goes now, the car will jerk forward easily before it will be a slug from a dead start. Also this is with the RJC powerplate. I noticed past 5lbs of boost the turbo spools faster! Work it top notch! No flaws. I got some pics if anyone wants to see my throttle body and plemun. I paid around $125 plus $12-15 to shipp it to him (USPS) and it includes all the new gaskets you need and shipped back to me, if you going to get the powerplate then you won't need the plemun gaskets. I got this back within 2 weeks so he did it pretty quickly.

Jackson, did you install both the power-plate and modded TB at the same time?

Yup! Also the stock plemun was ported out also.

Also anyone that are going to do this get GET studs! Don't have to worry about stripping the plemun that most guys claimed that happen. And for the studs Guy got the Stud-tite part number.

Oh ya that helpd also. And if anyone got a tip-in-stumble ask Guy he'll fix it! :D

I got the Race Hemco and larger TB and it made the engine responds quicker and the turbo seems to spool quicker also just like you stated. It seems that the larger TB is what makes the difference.

Getting ready for IDRC?
:D I wish, I'm still getting parts, and the car wont leave my driveway till i get my downpipe from Lee Thompson. All I need to do is make me a boost controller and fit the Deltagate on the cross-pipe and get a burnt chip...should be ready by March  other than that, I still have to find me some oil pan bolts that bolt the pan to the timing cover. Anyone got a set to spare? I think it's just 3 bolts...but their sizes are weird :o

Hi Jackson,

Just saw this thread... glad you like your JJ TB/Power Plate combo! I really liked that combo on all three of my cars! But, I'm in good with the guy that does the TBs, so I may be biased!

Take Care!

Jay........

I got two guys to do the TB and plemun mod and maybe more to come. Would be nice if we could pay allittle more to have to TB bead/sand blasted to make it look new or maybe some polishing/chrome work also.

WORD!!

Hey Jay, did you get my TB yet?

No TB yet, Chris... I'll let you know.

As far as bead blasting and/or polishing, I don't have access to equipment to do either! I work in an industrial machine shop, and we just don't have any call for that, so that means I don't get to tinker with such "toys"... otherwise, I would, believe me! Sorry.

Jay

"Mr."??????? Now I REALLY feel old! :P
