Steve,

That has to be the cleanest and most detailed T I have ever seen.

Wonder what he has into it.

Travis, yes it has been down the track (according to the article he has run a best of 8.80 @156mph with it)..

In the Car Craft article it said that he had $75K in it... Definitely the cleanest and most detailed TR out there IMO!

Steve sorry for being so lazy and not reading the entire article, it has the story and the times the car has seen. :(

Absolutely gorgeous!!

With a seperate set of wheels for street duty, I'm guessing it's fairly driveable. With the addition of a stereo, that may well be the perfect TR! Definitely right up there with the GNx clone that was in GMHTP a few years back.

The engine should be on display in a case somewhere/clean and simple

That was the car, while at the nats last year, the car died and he wouldnt restart ,I stopped over and figures out what was wrong(broken cam sensor interuptor) and got a Race Jace repair peice and got him back racing,He was a pretty nice guy.

Wish he gave us credit for the engraved interior pieces on the car.:( I love that car. Best of the best.

The current issue of car craft has a small picture of the car. Then next to it theres a picture of a BBC engine painted like his. In the same issue they have a AMC tubbed with a 572 hemi with a bug catcher sticking out the hood. The caption below talks of low elevens at 125:rolleyes: . I knew there was a reason I didnt buy car mags anymore.

article said it was a limited

Althought the car appears to have an earlier style grille the article stated it is a Limited car. I was under the impression Limited was only available in '87.

Side question, anyone have more pix of the interior? The leather covered seats looked sweet(at least the smal corner I could see in the artile. Thanks.

Rich

I agree the leather covered seats look awesome!

Are the door panels leather, Too?

Thanx a bunch for the pix. They look great. Are those door panels done in leather also? Another thing I noticed is the armstrong power window cranks. If that was a limited car and the nonpower windows are original it would be the first one(Limited) I've seen equipped like that. Couldn't have been more than a handful if any w/o power windows/locks and the other amenities. I remember when I bought my car thinking who who want one with a leather interior and now I'm thinking this is the way I want to do mine.

Looks like the leather kit that JAX sells. That car is the sweetest T ever.

When I talked to him at a local show here, he said it's an 87, but he liked the looks of the 86 grill better, so went with that one.

if you haven't seen it in person, these pics don't do it justice!
