I'd like to get a copy too. What's the exact title or the ISBN number?

Well,it was put out by Petersen publishing and I bought mine the year before last at B/G.
It's about 32 pages long.

Da book??

If it's the "The BUICK Stage 2 V-6 Racing Engine" that you are looking for, I have about 3000 copies!!:D :D
It was written by my bud, Dave Emanuel, and Jim Ruggles.
It was published by Performance Publications, Dave's Co. [It is 32 pages long and maroon in color.]

Oh, BTW John, I gave it to you at the Nats about 2 yrs ago...;)

Anyone want one, stick a $5.00 bill in an envelope and mail it to me.

The one I ahev is gold Chuck and I bought it off a vendor who had them given to him.
However,I wouldn't mind a copy of your book.
Mine is supposedly about the Stage 1.
Looks like it's all about stocker 3.8 & 4.1 build ups.

couple of questions . what's the story on Jim Ruggles ? Who is he or what is he ? not much info on him if you do a search on the web on "Google". is he still alive ? I've seen his name pop up very often on this board .

And how can I get a copy of the Jim Ruggles Stage 1 V6 book ? thanks. :)

Sorry bout that!

John, I remember that book. I have a copy of it too, [I think.. Somewhere in my piles of info from 50 yrs of the addiction to cars!] I handed out a bunch of them, [stage 2] at the Nats the last couple yrs. Thot you had gotten one.

Kwikr1.. Jim Ruggles was the primier BUICK engine shop for NASCAR engines when BUICK was into that. [He had the data recording truck that BUICK used for on-track testing using telemetry to receive and record the tests. A NEAT piece to have today!!]

BUICK got out, Jim continued for several yrs doing "saturday nite racing" stuff, and some testing when the truck series was started. Shortly after that he auctioned it all off, and was, at last report, working for Ernie Elliott in North Ga.

I don't have copies of the stage 1 book. John, do you have yours handy? Can you post the ISBN #??

There isn't a ISBN # I can find on my Stage 1 book. It was published by Petersen Publishing.

Chuck, could you email me your address??? I wouldn't mind having one of the Stage 2 books...Would go good with the Stage 1 gold cover one that I already have...

Thanks...
