I've successfully rented my Eastwood Fender Roller to many on this list with almost no issues...certainly none serious. That all ended when it went to Juan Cuadra. He severely bent the mounting hub on my tool, can only be done by using engine power to rotate the tool, and sometime later sent it on without even acknowledging what has happened. The tool is now damaged beyond repair. He initially advised a bolt head twisted off and then never again responded. I send this to you all as a warning to NOT do business with this character. Below is a timeline of PM's and emails fyi.
Please note that the tool was received by the next guy bent all to hell...yet Juan advises in his note that he was making his final pass when the bolt head broke off. Clear admittance that the tool was useable when he received it...and it was not when the next guy got it...no detective work needed to figure out exactly who is responsible for the damage. Very disappointing that a Turbo Buick guy would do this to another Turbo Buick guy.
13 Mar: I receive a PM from Juan advising he has received the tool.
23 Mar @ 10:55: I send Juan a PM advising of the shipping address for Bob, the next guy, when he is finished.
24 Mar @ 01:10: I get the following note from Juan...
"hey bob i had a problem with the fender roller, i was finishing up on the car on the final pass when i go to adjust the roller up.. when i went to tighten the bolt that secures the roller and the head of the bolt broke off. so i think to my self... ill just pull the bolt out and and go buy the same size bolt at the hardware store but i noticed that there is a piece welded on to the bolt on the inside part so im kinda stuck and dont know what to do. any suggestions"
24 Mar 08:53: I respond via PM with 3 suggestions on how to fix
27 Mar: I send Juan a PM asking for an update and left my phone number asking him to call me.
29 Mar: I send another PM to Juan asking how I can help, and requested his phone number so I could call him.
10 Apr: I receive an email, with pictures, from Bob "the next guy" advising he has received the tool with pictures showing severely bent mounting hub. He advised the tool is unusable. His words: "Completely non-functional & unsafe". Keep in mind that this is the 3rd time Bob has had this tool, each time before, for unrelated reasons, he was unable to use the tool and sent it on to the next guy. So I am 100% confident that the he received the tool in this condition.
10 Apr: I send email to Juan advising that I am very disappointed in what he has done. It is clear that he used engine power to rotate the tool as it was attached to his hub. Thought it cowardly for him just to send it on, and asked him how he suggested he should pay for this damage. No amount of muscles can bend that 1/2" thick piece of steel. I received it bent once before and an 8 ton hydraulic press would not move it...took a 20 ton press to straighten it.
13 Apr: I send my final PM to Juan asking if he is going to "man up" or "stay hidden".
I never got any kind of response after his 24 Mar PM advising the bolt head had broken off.
