Jumper cables or...

those new fangled charging things. I was walking around pep boys looking for cables and I saw a couple of portable jump starters. Prices ranged from 69-139. I was wondering if anybody owns/uses these. I don't know that I'd toss my cables in favor of one of these, but then again cables are only good if there's another car around. Thoughts are appreciated.

My buddy got a cheap one (I think it was 40-50 bucks @ harbor freight) for christmas about 5 years ago. It still works great to this day!

I have been shocked at how well it works. I have been with him to use it at least 10 times - for boats, trucks, and a car of mine.

I got one at Menards for $20, has an air compressor, jump pack, and light. Its awesome, I use it all the time.
