jumpy when downshifting once warmed up?

My 87 GN all stock car runs as smooth as silk until it gets good and warm. After warming up it jumps when down shifting. What are some of the possibilities? Thanks in advance!:smile:

you didn't list that there are any other problems, but "jumpy" almost makes it seem like the TCC solenoid is stuck causing harsh upshifts and downshifts. Once it warms does it lug a lot and have poor acceleration?
