I just got my new TA stainless headers back from coating. Coating is Polydyn's "titanium". Supposed to be good for close to 3000 degrees. I fit the headers up before sending them to get coated. They fit perfect. The coating looks way better than I thought it would. Polydyn did a great job. I can't wait to get them in the car and drive it! Hopefully the coating will help reduce the under hood heat.

Looks great. Which TA's are they?

They are the TA Performance 3 bolt stainless steel headers. TA V2010CH-SS is the part number. They are the best fitting headers I have purchased for any vehicle.

Thank you. Did you get your headers coating done in Houston TX ?

Those look NICE:cool: How do the TA headers hold up? Haven't seen to much posted about them besides them fitting good.

Thanks. Don't know how they hold up yet, they are brand new. They weigh a lot more than my old ATR's so they should hold up better. The ATR's were really old and had been welded up many times. My friend was getting tired of welding them up for me. They were cracked again a few months ago when I pulled the motor so I decided to upgrade instead of welding more. I like the design of the TA's better because the crossover connects below the frame rail on the passenger side. The ATR crossover came in right by the rear upper control arm bushing. My upper control arm had several shims in it so the bushing was almost touching the pipe. Had to replace that busing again. The TA's clear everything great. I will re-post after I beat on them for a year!

Would you mind telling what it cost to coat your headers.Thats the nicest looking set of headers i've seen!!!

Thanks. It was $460 for the headers, crossover, and 3.5" downpipe. Probably would be at least $100 less without the downpipe. I know that is a lot but it is supposed to last forever. I saw a set of dragster headers while I was there with the same coating that were 5 years old. Still looked great.

Wish I had done this before installing my stainless ta's. I chinged up the extra money for stainless thinking they would stay looking nice but the flanges still get rust spots on them. Thats my only complaint, they fit and seal awesome, and thats why I bought them :)

Best headers bar none my car is a different animal since being installed . Last headers you'll ever need .

Nice work. Just a suggestion; you might want to loosely plastic-wrap them until you're finished installing them. The places I've dealt with only have ovens that get around 400-500 degrees, but the coating needs much higher than that to set. Therefor, the coating is probably really prone to scratches and chipping until you get some heat cycles on them. Hope you find this helpful!

Did you do the insides too?

Hope not.....not a good thing to do on any part used pre turbo on a turbo charged installation. Any failure of the coating to adhere or internal flaking or mat'l breaking loose & you'll be shopping for a new turbo . Generally not recommended.

Turbo headers have a hard life. My old ATR's are stainless and are rusty and dull from years of abuse.
