About half way to the track on Saturday (after a late night Friday searching for an alternator so I could race) my car started sputtering and missing. It finally died ~30miles from the track and I called Jeremy (Bandit) for a little help.

Decided to limp it to the track, and got there right as racing was about to start.

Cotton let me borrow an ign module and coil pack to trouble shoot the car. It turned out to be a bad ESC module, which I somehow had two of, so I swapped back to the other that was disconnected.

Car ran fine all day Saturday and Sunday. I got about 20miles away from home and it did the same crap it did on the way up, so decided it was time for a tow (it wouldn't start this time).

Thanks again to Cotton, Jeremy, Scott Simpson, Chris, Justin and everyone else that helped out.

I had a good time (except for the drive there and back), thanks to all the cool people.

No problem kenny.

Glad to help and glad that ESC module you tried last night fixed the problem.

Yeah, Jack is a pretty decent guy...and I hear he wants to be the title sponsor for TSM and give us like $20,000 in sponsorship money next year. ;) Cotton's Performance had the Mac-Daddy vendor setup at this event. I need one of his intercoolers...

Hrmm.. title sponsor.. I heard that as well. But I would hate to start a RUMOR!. :)

Kenny,

It was real nice meeting you in BPG. I'm glad to see you don't resemble your avatar. :) Really strange that your car keeps having those problems. Before you drive it in the lake, just remember to call us up! :P

Jack is da man! Not only does he make my car go fast, but he and Lori feed me and give me a place to sit at every event. Plus if I need help fixing something, he is always willing to help or loan me tools. Thanks again man.

I'm still skeptical. Just to see what would happen, I started it with yours (which fired right up, aside from being flooded). Let it run for a few minutes and turned it off. Then swapped back to the one that was in it on the way home, and it fired right up and idled like there was nothing wrong.

I'm wondering if it's the wiring to the ignition module.

The crack in the exhaust is foul, it's weldable, though.

Ya, it was nice meeting you too. :)

I'll save it from the lake, but I may sell it after I get it running right. I don't want to, but should.

... or I should just put it away for a while. Who knows.

Steve, if Lorrie doesn't stop feeding you, we'll have to take the doors and the hood off your car to get you down to racing weight!!!! Thanks for the compliments, you know I love racing and the Buick events, helping our customers\friends in any way that I can is just the way it is. But it is I that have to thank you and the many others that help us. Racing, vending and poking at cars, tuning and whatnot keeps me hopping. I couldn't do it without the help of my brotherinlaw and guys like Bob V, Brian the 11 second Wagon Lee, Jr and others that always seem to be around when I need them. Most of all, this last year, Lorrie has been unbelievable in helping me to get to where I am now. My car is running awsome, looking great, I think, ENGLISHTOWN, HERE WE COME.

Kenny, hope you get that fixed, it was nice meeting you. You may want to check the wiring on that circuit and or the computor and harness where it plugs in. If you have a Ttop car, water can get into the computor plug and cause some weird stuff.

Scott, ........... 20,000 dollars!!!!!! We should talk before Norwalk, I think we can put a little something together, but you better knock a few of dem zeros off...

Come on Jack. Add a few zero's and I'll build a TSM car.:D

It was great having you and the Cotton crew there. I enjoyed racing Tony. Lots of fun. Hope to see you at Norwalk.

John

They are talking about the Norwalk rain date make up, the weekend of the 12th of September.
