Having a hard time finding the size. Someone stuck a small spectre rice burner air filter on my car. Looking for a larger cone filter. Frustrating I can't remember these basics. Do I need to keep the evap can? Is there another option for k&n?

If you don't have a bracket on the stock maf, make one to help stabilize it. They don't like to be bounced around a lot.

I wouldn't run a bracket with a stock MAF (Then again I wouldn't run a stock MAF). Transmitting the vibrations from the Alt mount might cause it to rattle itself to death.

Before you pull the trigger on the K&N take a look at the AEM filters. They don't need oil that likes to goop up film type MAFs, and it has a radiused exit like a velocity stack.

Thanks for the measurements. Anyone know a part number? Would have to order it waaay out here. Look at aem. It did not find anything with those dimensions.

The bracket I had for the stock maf mounted on a pedastal that bolted to the frame I think

There is no one right answer on the filter part number. If you have a 3" pipe make sure you get a 3" opening and get the filter as long as you have room for. When it comes to filter area more is always better.

For example, when I upgraded to a 3.5" MAF pipe, I just removed a 3" filter that's 14" long.
