K&N Oiling Importance?

I cleaned my K&N but didn't have the right oil to use so I just reinstalled in minus the Advanced Tech. can it was in. How important is it that I get it oiled soon????

The oil is what grabs onto many of the particles. Hard to say "how" important it is, but I would try to do it soon.

I freind at work says he uses Marvel Myserty Oil. Is that ok?

I would wait and get the K&N stuff. Any decent auto parts store or motorcycle shop should have it. The best way to do this is to have two filters for your car so you don't have to wait for the one you took off and cleaned to dry. Have another filter cleaned/oiled and waiting when you do your service work, then clean and oil the filter you took off and it will be ready next time. Basically, keep one in rotation in the garage...Hope this helps..-Steve
