Yes. But in areas where temps don't get above freezing for weeks on end or longer, this poses a problem.
Mark, if you find a coating that works, let me know. I hated having to stop in at a car wash and rinse out that crap on my Jeep.
look up my location.. i know all about temps not getting above freezing for weeks or even months..
unless you drive thru a lot of snow banks or something, snow packed wheels are only an issue for a day or two at a time after it snows. just knock it out as needed and be on your way. but it will melt out of wheels relatively fast just from driving... of course, i've never had (and hopefully never will have) anything with 20" wheels on it, so i can only guess what kind of effect having that much extra mass that far out from the center of the wheel will have on the balance..
