I have this system on my GN also, but it's part of the assembly that includes a big scoop in the middle for the intercooler also.....one member on this forum, whom I hold in very high esteem, told me that he cut the canister in half with the exposed part facing the bottom of the engine bay so the air cleaner can get cold air from the flexible hose, but retains the cool canister look from the top....he said it works great.....this is what I'm going to do to mine when I get around to it.....I know the canister can be restrictive just by looking at the size of it....better to have the cold air blowing on the air cleaner in a half canister.....just my opinion.
