My car only on start up and some times as soon as it cranks will go dead. All of my readings via scanmaster are normal int's and blm's are fine. I have noticed however that my 02' readings sometimes go to "000".

Its as if someone just pulls the plug. Car starts right back up just fine and runs great. My fuel PSI also is fine when this happens. I have just put new plugs here lately and new module and coil and plug wires havelike 1000 mi on them.

Could a falty interuptor ring on the cam shaft sensor cause this problem and longer then normal cranking times which I seem to notice also. I know the other day it turned over like 6 times before it cranked!

Any ideas guys!
Thanks for any help . Chris

When you say ''dead' do you mean it won't crank, you lose power, or your readings drop. You could have a bad fusible link by the starter if everything is going dead. Or if it's just sensors or something it might be the orange wire by the battery for the ECM. Just a couple of thoughts. james

Dead as in car goes dead not running any longer time to recrank.

What do I look for as far as fusible link?
Orange ecm wire?

If it ...

starts right back up,it won't be the fuseable links, check the crank sensor, it may have come loose.

Well took the cap off cam sensor and I would say there is maybe 2mm of movement with the ring in either direction!

The crank sensor is solid no movement at all. Car started just fine today no problems at all. Oh well
