Hi everyone. Im new to this forum. Im in the process of installing the fast system onto the 5.0. From what I hear the program loaded on my computer should be enough to start my car. Any advice for a newbie? I have been playing with the windows versions of ccom. Does someone have a KPA conversion chart?

Thanks in advance.

Rule of thumb for quick conversion, 100 kPa = about 1 bar of MAP. 1 bar of MAP = about 14.7 psi. So about 1.5 psi for every 10 kPa.

200 kPa then is about 30 psi MAP, or 15 psi boost. Etc.

Sorry the columns look a bit goofy (tabs don't paste well), but you should get the idea.

Note that typically vacuum is measured in inches (far right column) and boost is typically measured in PSI (center column).

Also note that negative values indicate pressure below atmospheric pressure, and that kPa is an absolute measurement.

thanks guys.. hopefully the setting on my fast computer will start the car..im sure ill have more questions as i attempt to start the car..once again thanks.

Just put MAP(PSI) on your logging dashboard and you will not need to worry about conversions again.
