My question is, does anybody have a 2 1/2 exhaust and a 3'" downpipe? I'm pulling the trigger on a new downpipe and I need to be sure I don't need a three inch exhaust. I understand the two pieces bolt together but I just want to know if anybody has this set up.
Thanks

3" DP to 3" Y-Pipe hooked up with a Band clamp. The Y-Pipe mates to the Exhaust via a rectangular flange.

I would think 2 1/2" double pipe exhaust would be fine.

I ordered that for my ride from Cottons last week to replace rotten exhaust.

My DP is maybe 3 1/2" Cottons I think?

I do have a cut-out (just in case).

I thought of this, but IMO looks a little goofy for our cars?

I am sure some disagree, like you....and for a good reason!

I understand.

I love my hooker header exhaust with their aero-chamber mufflers. Tried and true system. They sound amazing. Not into the track, just the street. Weight isn't an issue..

The key no matter whether duals or single is to have a system that moves the exhaust out as fast as turbo motor create it. Very few mufflers can flow like this. theyr design baffles slow down flow thats why i say single shot straight thru style but to each is own ya'll
