Hi, I'm wondering if it would be easier on the driveline if when launching on the trans brake, the line lock was also held? I mean in theory wouldn't any "slack" be taken up so when you released them it would be tight already. Thoughts?

I don't think it would help at all. What slack are you talking about? Also the nice thing about trans brake is you're not preloading the suspension.

Here's my car launching at 12psi off the trans brake. Picked up the tires a few inches.

I experimented with using the t-brake and linelock as you describe. Keeping the load on the drivetrain will lessen the shock to the suspension. In my case, it did not work as well as launching on an unloaded suspension. My 60' times are consistently in the low 1.30's.

Ok thanks guys. I've never left hard on the trans brake - I guess I'm a pussy, but I was scared of the stock axles and u-joints letting me down. So this year I put in Moser axles, c-clip elims and solid u-joints and I'm planning on launching hard this weekend for the first time. The lowest I can set the boost controller with my set up is 12 PSI (AMS500 in Launch Mode) then ramp to ??? It's on 275/60 ET Streets. Any advise - I'll update my sig...

no such thing as being easy on drivetrain during a transbrake launch
have good axles )no c clip more splines) u joints (1350) drive shaft (3 in or more) and good uppers/lowers and then you wont have to be scared
My last outing I was leaving at 15 psi on a 275 60 15 radial tire

DO IT!
