I've had trouble with my spray on light coming on when the pump kicks. It wouldn't come on under boost or pressing the test button. I talked to steve about this some time ago and we determined the kit was operating fine, but I needed to adjust the screw on the bottom of the hobbs switch.

Today I loosened the screw a little at a time until I could get the light to come on with the test button. After a test drive, the light again came on at my spray on point.

I noticed when I was adjusting the screw that some alky dripped out of the screw area. This can't be right can it ?

No it's not right. I had my first switch leak so Steve sent me another. The second switch also developed a leak after awhile. So I drilled out the rivets holding the two halves of the switch together to figure out my leak problem. It seems the plastic diaphram that's in between the two halves deteriorates from the alky I presume, allowing alky passed it and leak through the other side. I just made my own plastic diaphram out of a heavy duty contractor trash bag and sealed it with black silicone. I used 4 small nuts and bolts to replaced the drilled out rivets and it has worked fine ever since. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the insight and advice. I'll give Steve a call and see what he has to say about it. I wonder if he's improved the swithces on his newest kits.

I may also try out your method on my switch. I still want to talk to Steve though because my pump is only putting out 42psi.
