leaky turbo?

Ive been getting alot of idle smoke in my car, and today I took off the MAF pipe and noticed that there is no oil in there or anything, but the wheel moves from left to right, and up and down. Is there supposed to be any play in there?, it dosnt move any back and forth either.

Check your oil drain tube on the bottom of the center section, I chased a smoking at idle issue until I found that it was leaking.
I purchased an upgraded one from Johnsperformance.com
and installed. I also spun the center section so the oil feed and drain lines were straight up and down. Problem solved.
I think as long as you dont have any play back and forth on your turbo you should be ok, I beleive a little play side to side is acceptable.
