I want to switch my under hood and trunk lights to the LED bulbs, but not the directional, straight out bulbs. I want the "tower" style, 360 degree led bulbs. Anyone have any good part numbers for me?

This does both? Because our trunk and hood lights are different, and have different volt/watt/amp requirements.

I use 89's for both.

Post up the stock numbers, and they can be easily cross referenced over at that site.

I'm sure the output is different, as well as the load etc. with the LED's so I doubt the stock numbers matter that much, the socket is the same single lamp bayonet, I believe.

Actually I don't use a hood bulb except in emergencies since I like to leave the hood open a lot in my driveway, it helps me to remember to check fluids, tires, etc.

  • Replaces Stock Number:
  • 1003
  • 105
  • 1155
  • 5007
  • 5008
  • 57X
  • 67
  • 89
  • 98
They can all be replaced with the 15 element LED bulb according to their cross reference.

I don't see any issues, they all use the same bayonet mount.

You could probably email them any additional questions.

Ok. Ordered one each for the trunk and hood, and one festoon for the dome. When I opened my dome light cover, a little piece of fried insulation with wire inside fell out. I looked and it got melted from being on too long with a super hot bulb. I can see the connector where it was supposed to go. But, it still work so... What am I missing?

Turbo6-

Have you already done or do you plan on replacing the cabin bulbs with LEDs as well (dash, map, opera, etc...)?

If so can you post details as I would be interested in these mods as well.

I posted this in another thread. It would make a great sticky if someone would post all the bulb part numbers in on post to replace all the bulbs.

Nope. Just doing the under hood lights because of the huge draw the factory bulbs had on the battery, and doing the dome light because of the heat the factory bulb caused. I tried that whole "convert your entire car to led" gimmick with my GS. EVERY bulb burned out. Screw that shit. I'm pretty tired actually, of changing stuff around that just wasn't designed that way from the get go. All the mods may work in other people's cars, but they never work in mine lol. I have really bad luck. Always.
