lifter noise/seafoam trick

I was reading about guys with lifter problems adding Seafoam and it fixed it??? Mine has a noise that I think is lifters, anyone have any info on this seafoam idea and what they did exactly?

i dumped in half the bottle in the engine. drove it around a couple days. after a couple days i started beating on it again and no more lifter ticking .

my problem was at highway speeds after 1/2 mile or more of beating on it the lifter got stuck /bleed down or something?

worked for me costs $10 .most parts stores probably have it.
