Lightning cap?

A friend of mine has one of these for sale. He had never hooked it up, so it would be brand new. If you seen my post earlier i just bought a 350 watt amp and am going to hook it up very shortly. I was thinking while im at it that i should use one of these. It sort of looks like a battery correct? (sorry new to the stereo stuff). My question is, How exactly does this thing hook up? If anyone could provide some in depth details i would appreciate it.

u just hook it up from the batt to the amp and then ground it.

But you don't need it.

If it has the cool digital display on top it might be worth it to buy cheap.

Be sure to use a 20 ohm resistor initially to charge the cap. If it's a 1 farad cap a direct connection to 12v will make a large spark. You only need to leave it on for around 20 seconds. Carefull as it will be red hot in that time.

Sure it does, tells you if your fuse under the hood is blown.
