Will a line lock solenoid work on a alcohol system? I'm finally getting around to getting my system together and have a line lock solenoid laying around, figure if it will work, sweet!
I need a solenoid so my hotair car doesn't siphon my tank dry.
If that solenoid won't work, what do you guys recommend? I've searched around a bit and they sure get expensive.

The NOS alky. solenoid does work.

Got some from Industrial Automation that I haven't tried yet.

About $50 for those much cheaper.

Valve Store or Gauge Store search should find their online catalog.

Ya know it may work. Brake fluid is some pretty nasty stuff... so.. could be. If you have it, call the mfg of the solenoid and ask theyre tech for seat materials and such. As long as the materials dont use steel or aluminum, you'll be ok.

I have them for 55.00 with the fittings to go to -4 line. fwiw

line lock

Line lock sol is open-only closed when 12 volts is allpied, correct?

Ahhhh crap... ITSAV6 is rite on.. materials wise yes compatible, operation wise.. nope.

Glad somebody is paying attention :D

allpied

I didn't pay attention to my spelling! Applied was spelled allpied.:D

.

Solenoid might not be rated for constant use, will be open when car is turned off-possibly letting alky to drain into engine.

You'll cook the coil in the solenoid keeping it energized all the time.

darn!
Whats the orifice size (inlet/outlet) you use with your solenoids Razor?

1/4 NPT threads. I supply a couple adapters to convert to -4 an line.

HTH
