what is so great about these, i see them advertised, does the liquid effect its accuracy in some way....my reason for asking is this, i have an autometer liquid filled booste gauge, which is leaking the liquid so muc so that there is about a 1/4 inch gap between the top of the liquid and the top of the area of the liquid reseviour in the gauge....will this affect the acuracy of the guage...thanks

It's supposed to dampen vibrations and steady the pointer. Should work fine without the fluid but new guages aren't too expensive either. What kinda gauge exactly is it? I have a Autometer Pro Comp Boost/Vac gauge I'll sell ya. 2 5/8in, 30inHg/ 20lbs. :)

its a procomp, i believe, just a boost, its got a black backing, however all my other gauges are white, im assuming the dealership that had the car took the white one out, and put this broken one in, as there are crimps on the wires, oh and they also did the same thing with the stereo on the car, aswell as the sub, cut all the wires, hacked in new junk stereo, and now the alarm doesnt work...go figure
