What float sensor are you guys using? I was using the aquamist one but it was JBWelded to my old tank but I don't want to pay $25 again; also I plan to try some methanol and i wasn't sure if the aquamist switch would work.

I saw there was a GM part # around here I was wondering how that one works? The instruction says mount on top of the container which I am confused, I always mount float switch at the bottom so I can tell the level dropping.

If there is one that is like the sensor on the bottom of coolant reservoirs, that would be very nice.

Problem is if you put a hole on the side of a container, there is a chance it can leak..JB Weld or not. The low sensors I use are of specific length..so the one for a TTA is different than the GN.

Think of it as a bob..as the level goes down, the bob goes down..eventually hits the threshold and fires the magnetic relay built inside it..

GM makes a bunch of different ones.. but theyre more expensive than the 25 you paid, unless you get one from a junk yard.

HTH

And you want the float to almost reach the bottom so you know to fill.
