How are you guys with the LM-1 getting the big connector into the inside of
the car, the grommet with the speedo cable is maxed out, is there a safe place to drill another hole on the drivers side to bring this cable in.
thanks.

Ron

I can not be the only person running a LM-1, so how did you get the cable
inside the vehicle??

Ron

I have the LC1. I placed the sensor bung just before the test pipe and drilled a small hole in the bottom of the firewall. I fashioned a rubber stopper into a bung and ran the cable to the unit up behind the glovebox door. (I removed the glovebox when I put in a new engine harness and powerlogger and relocated the ecu) I was reluctant to drill the firewall, but I'm glad I did. I then wired the LC1 directly to the ecu.

Chris, I'm using the lm-1, not familiar with the lc1, my bung is in the down pipe about 15 in" after the radius down by the heater box, I would like to run the cable thru the drivers side firewall if possible, do you know where there is a safe place to drill and install a 3/4' hole and grommet.

I'm in the process of trying to figure out where to put my sensor bung. Can you be exact as to where yours is? A pic would help!!

Why not just use the existing ds firewall hole?

I could take a pic later. I wanted to get the sensor far away from the turbo heat, but before the exhaust goes horizontal. I put the bung just at the bottom of the downpipe before the test pipe/cat. Be sure you mark the spot on the downpipe before removing it to insure that you have clearance to remove and install the sensor.

Dave, I had my bung installed 13.5" down the pipe, measured from center of
bung hole to center of the THDP at about the 1:00 clock position, almost
straight across from the # 4 spark plug, Chris the speedo hole is maxed out,
I have so much going thru there now there is no way that that big DIN cable
will fit, so is there another safe way to drill a3/4" hole in the fire wall on the
drivers side, I can not be the only one with this problem!!

Ron:confused:

I also placed the sensor prior to the test pipe. I have the LC-1 between the passengers seat and the console, routed to a 1" hole I drilled into the tranny hump, below the console and beside the shifter. I had a 1" rubber plug that I cut a slit into, thru which the wiring runs. The wirring runs down the side of the transmission to the lower end of the downpipe. All connections are inside the car.
