lock up or non lock up

I have a gn abot 500 hp with an 9 1/2 in non lock up 3200 stall that came in the car is the but not sure if a lock up or a non lock up is good for the car .my question is what how do u detrim if u should use a lock up or non lock

At that power your good using the non lock up. To determine if the converter is working good with your combo you need to datalog passes at the dragstrip. You want the rpm to drop at least 600 rpm at the gear change but 800-1200 is a good window to be in.
