I missed the instructions to put locktite on the front pump bushing. I put a teflon one in there. Will I have problems? Should I remove it, get a new one, and put locktite around it and reinstall?

Thanks

It's for insurance purpose, most likely you will be ok. But there are no guarantees:D

With an aluminum body, it would sure be nice to have the loctite in there. Also, if the teflon bushing is a hard material under the teflon, change it to a babbit bushing. Many of the teflon bushings start out with a hard bushing material and are then coated. If the converter hub has the slightest runout or the pump is setup to put out elevated pressures, (I've seen it happen with normal pump pressures) commonly the teflon material will be worn through leaving the hard bushing material to contact the torque converter hub. If you're absolutely sure the hub is a hardened hub, then no worries. Commonly aftermarket torque converters come with softer hubs. The hard bushing material will prematurely wear away at the softer hub material. You can never go wrong with using a babbit bushing.

Also, don't trust what your converter supplier tells you about the hub. Hardened aftermarket hubs are very uncommon except on a few import T/Cs.

Been there, done that.
