Someone signed my guestbook on my website the other day so I went to check it out and look at what I found, lol.

"you are a discrace to all f-body owners why the hell would you use a buic motor hey you want a buick go buy on and let someone else who will treat the fbody right have it"

He must be 12 years old because the grammer is horrible, lol. But then I have an automated response that e-mails the person saying thanks for signing my guestbook and he e-mailed me back from that saying.

"dont thank me i think your car is JUNK noone should ever put a buick motor in a
fbody its descusting i hope your motor throws a rod that goes out the oil pan
hits the ground back up through the floorboard and hits you in the nuts"

LoL, I just thought it was kinda funny.

Be nice

Be nice to this person, they must have one of those slower V6 F-bodies that looses to everything on the road. Did they post where they are from?

Guess he never heard of the '89 TTA??

Ignorance is bliss!

I got a laugh out of that one:D Might want to put a reinforced floor in the car in case the rod would ricochet off the ground:rolleyes:

That commentary reminded me of some funny remarks I read on this site:
http://laughatrice.com/galleries.htm

con rod bouncing off the ground and going thru the floor board to hit you in the nuts! That is too funny......

So, let me get this straight the 305 & 350 Chevy can go in the Pontiacs, but not a Turbo Charged Buick V6:confused: What an idoit:D

Hey Jojo-
I heard that some punk put a Buick motor in one of our F-Bodies! Did you hear that? It's amazing. Why would anyone want to disgrace the utter raw performance that you can get out of a 305. Man, that 305 can GOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! Didja know that it put out 180 Horsepower back in 88? ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY HORSEPOWER! That's like...... 180 horses pulling your car! Except you don't have to worry about all the horse **** on the road. I'd imagine that would smell pretty bad from that many horses.
So yeah, I'm just disgusted by this whole thing. A Buick motor in a Pontiac? That'd be like putting a Small Block Chevy in a Pontiac! OUT OF THE QUESTION! Who would put a Grannymobile motor in a firebird?
We should find this guy. If we raise enough money with the other F-Body guys over at www.myZ28rulez.com we could probably buy it off of him. Then we could burn it to the ground and give it a proper burial.
I also heard about some other guys that put a Buick motor in a Pontiac, Pontiac. Yup The Ponch turned on us, Jojo. They put a Buford motor in the 1989 Turbo Trans Am. Check this site out (http://www.89tta.com/ttahist.htm). "Starting with the engine, Pontiac borrowed Buick's 3.8 liter (231cid) V6 turbo powerplant from the fabled 1986-87 Grand National".
So I think we're left with one choice, my friend. We have to take this war all the way to GM Headquarters in Detroit and find out who's responsible!
F-Bodies RULE!
Your Friend,
Shane

Waiting on a reply.....

Hey, the moron probably thinks that the 305 IS a pontiac motor, because, after all, that's what his firebird came with.

I just saw a 67 Box Nova w/ an LC2 transplant mentioned in the for sale forum w/ pics. Now, what better thing can you do to a Chevy but put a turbo V-6 in it. All of a sudden, you have a sleeper. A Monte for example. What better motor could you put in a C-4 for that matter. Lemmings who get excited about SBCs are just..........braindead!

Must have been one of the "enthusiasts" on that 3rd gen Fbody board. They all want to put clear tail lights and louvers on their cars but don't seem to be interested in real horsepower. "Turning 15 second cars into high 14 second cars" should be their motto. Pretty damn funny line about the rod coming back through the floor and hitting you in the nuts though.

thats pretty funny, some peoples kids... great looking tank by the way. if you get a male krib, theyll breed like crazy. i used to get a buck for each dime size krib.

I purchased that Nova on Ebay. I hope I don't get flamed for it. I came to this site to learn more about the turbo buick. I have always been a fan of the GN's and SY/TY's. I came accross the nova on e-bay after I sold my drag car (66 Chevelle, 15:1 496, 2 stages (it was on ebay also)). I was looking for a drive anywhere street car that can still lay the smack down.

My experience with FI and turbo is non existant. I am a carb/nitrous guy to the bone, but I have a feeling this car may change that. Is there any advice anyone can give me as a person new to all of this?

Thanks
Charles

do a search on scantools, buy one and try to keep the knock down on the motor-
make sure you have good gas in the car, you can easily blow headgaskets if you detonate the motor too much

Nice thread guys LOL
