If you're considering a transmission I implore you to look no further. After receiving a stage 2 transmission that was screwed from the get go and receiving poor customer service from a vender I had gotten pretty fed up. That's when I decided to actually listen to some folks on here I trusted and get the job done right!

I waited to make this post. I installed thus transmission then drive 3k miles in the powertour and competed at some local dragstrips along the way. It doesn't slip it just shifts nice and fast.

I'm just sorry it took me many months and about 4k dollars later to find out the hard way that Lonnie is the man! I plan on having a turbo Buick for life and he'll get all my future transmission work.

Cool, glad it worked out..Sucks spending money twice.

Cool. Glad to hear it. I too bought from Lonnie, Stage 1, and his service was unparalled and the tranny is bullit proof. It hasn't had an easy life with me and it's hanging tough. He will get all my business in the future.

Mine is from Dave Husek full everything and it rocks so IM happy there but I will add something about Lonnie

When My friend Mike Willey had Lonnie do his, there was an issue with the Trans, Lonnie Came down from Ohio to Kissimmee, FL to pick up the Trans, took it back, rebuilt it again, reshipped it at no cost. Mike went with Lonnies converter recommendation and got an Edge from West Coast which is a nice unit, alot more for the money then those other ones that are so popular:rolleyes:

That is the truth. With the stories we see about vendors tucking tail and bailing when things go wrong, Lonnie is a stand up guy that will get it right, make sure it's right, and go above and beyond to leave you satisfied. Lonnie turned a bad situation into one of the most positive experiences I've had with anyone in the auto biz.

Thanks Lonnie!

Stage two here. One of the main reasons i dipped into the 12s. He will rebuild my bfr when the funds are available.

I have one of Lonnie's stage 2's and 3 other guys I know have the stage 2 as well. He had a problem with one of the valve bodies and Lonnie paid to have it picked up and sent a new one out the following week also paid for shipping back. If I ever have to have another tranny Lonnie will be the guy.

Keep up the good work,

Rick

Im in the same boat as you were. I will be giving Lonnie a call to straighten out my situation ,as i heard he is the man to go too.:D

FYI, the car made the complete Hot Rod Powertour this year as well as some drag racing while on tour.

I should be recieving my Stage 1 from Lonnie tomorrow, and I'm very excited to get it and get it in the car. I've heard nothing but good things about him and his work. He's been very busy lately, but he's also been good about returning my calls and keeping me informed on the status of my trans. :)

Still haven't recieved my Transmission yet :mad:

When I talked to Lonnie last week, he told me it would ship out Weds the 22nd, which means I should've had it on Friday the 24th. Lonnie also told me that if it didn't ship, he would call me and tell me when to expect it. No call, so no news is good news, right?

I called on Monday morning, and had to leave a message. Lonnie's message to callers stated he was extremely busy in the shop, and he would return phone calls in the next day or two. I left a msg saying that I just wanted to make sure my trans shipped out like he said it would, and to give me a call back with the shipping info. I still haven't heard from him, so I called again this afternoon and left another message. I pretty much have to install that transmission tomorrow, as I have plans to attend a Buick show in IL on Saturday which I'm afraid now I'll have to cancel those plans :(

I've been very patient, but am starting to get edgy. I paid for this tranny in full on August 24th, and was told it would be two weeks so expect it to show the week of Labor Day. Lonnie, I understand you are very busy (which is great in this economy), and I've been empathetic to your schedule. Everything I've read and been told from other TR owners about your tranny's and your reputation, along with emails and phone calls back and forth with you, made me feel happy to give you my hard-earned money for a product that will stand the test of time.

Lonnie, if you see this, Please call me and let me know the status of my trans, thanks! I'm not mad, yet. But I am getting a tad disappointed.

Im in the same boat man except mine was paid for on aug 13th. Ive got a buick-ford shootout on oct 16 that looks like im not going to make.

I tried calling again this afternoon, but didn't bother to leave a message. I emailed Lonnie and asked what gives, no reply yet.

The more I think about this situation, and see guys in the same boat, the more upset I become :frown:
