Looks like some peoples ego in here is really getting out of hand. I have seen alot of this lately about....should I buy a Tag or Rolex....look at my overpriced home and so on. That has no place on this board in my opinion. The only reason people post that garbage is to make others on the board look up to them and feel lower because they cannot afford the same items. I would hate to see what a third party thinks when they come in here to simply look around and see what the Gn community is like. Let me tell you what they think, they think this a site for uppity a-holes with more cash than sense. Sometimes the truth hurts, but it is still the truth. Most people in here seem to be regular Joes that live week to week and enjoy working and running their cars. But of course you have the jerks that feel the need to show their a@#es and make others feel unworthy of being in their midst. That is my opinion and regardless of what others think, will remain so. This is not a freakin competition over who has the most expensive this or that, but a place to enjoy talking about what you enjoy, not to see who has the biggest d@#k!!!

People that own turbo regals come from different walks of life just like I'm sure the guys with mustangs do also.

The TR community is tight knit group of people and some would give the shirt off their back and even more to help a fellow TR enthusiast out!!

Hey I just bought a custom Tag Hauer addition 87 GNX with a quad turbo Viper V-12 in it!!!! It should look real good in my eight car garage next to my Ferrari Enzo, 70 Hemi Cuda, OCC Chopper, Porsche Carrera, 66 Shelby Cobra, 70 LS6 Chevelle, F1 McClarren, Ferrari F50, Lambo Diablo SV and more stuff that ford guys can't afford. Oh did I mention that these are the cars at my 10,000 square feet mansion in the Hollywood hills. I have even better cars at my Miami Fla mansion!!

Also, whats with the name? fiveohford sounds like your showing off that you have a 5.0. Are you into Vanilla Ice? Do you have your rag top down so your hair can blow?

"I put my pants on the same as you" Maybe you do but I would guess from your posts that when I put my pants on I go to a successful career that I enjoy going to. Not only do I love my job but working as hard as I do I can afford finer things in life. I have a GN that I can afford to work on, I collect watches so yes, I have a Tag and two Rolex's along with a few other high end watches. If someone wants to see them I will post them. If someone wants to see my car I will point them to my page containing loads of pictures I took with my digital SLR camera.

Do I come to this site to gloat about having things I think are cool? The answer would be a resounding NO. Just do a search for my user name and see that I dont gloat about ****. As for the post pictures of your house thread that seems to have put your panties in a wad. Big deal, he says we have seen the cars and people now lets see the houses. Whats so wrong with that? Would you have responded in the same asshole manner if he would have posted pictures of a double wide?

This is the internet, take things with a grain of salt. Just dont jump all over someone for posting pictures of their house because you think its to nice. Same would go for anyone on this site that owns a GNX. Would you jump all over them for posting pictures of their car? It is in fact, the "top dog" of the GN world and also very highly sought after and wanted by many that could never afford one. Is it so bad that someone could? Is it a show of "small organs" that they have one? Is this not a site they should showcase their car?

People are usually proud with what they have. If they want to show it off then so be it. This site is by FAR the least condescending forum I have ever had the priviledge of being a part of. People here enjoy their cars, jobs, this site, homes, family, you name it. This board is filled with a great group of people that dont bash others for the sake of bashing. Take your drama to another forum so we dont have to be bothered by your jibberish.

Well I guess I have to say, you guys are pretty darn nice. I know this won't do any good but I would like to apologize for the things I said earlier. You folks are very much right. There is nothing wrong with being proud of what you have. I suffer from some health problems and have never really been able to work and afford the things I would like to have. When I see someone with really nice things like that, I simply wish I was able to do as well for myself. Again, I am sorry for the terrible things I said. Personally I find these threads interesting. I would never buy such an expensive watch, but to hear others well-informed opinions is interesting. Trust me, I don't make a whole lot of money... but I'm not too proud to admire what someone else has. Nobody is RUBBING it in my face or saying that they're better then me. Like the thread about show your non-TR rides... if my digital camera wasn't broken, I'd show my ever-so-desirable 52 horsepower, European edition Volkswagen Golf. Four on the floor baby!!

Relax grasshopper... stick around and see what really goes on in this board. Some you'll like. Some you won't. But just like with everything else in life, you'll find a majority of decent people... a handful of less then decent and a few people that really are admirable. Let me draw your attention to the recent thread of a gentlemen on his way back to Iraq.

If that post is sincere then your showing you can be a man and stepping up to apologize is cool. You didnt direct anything towards me directly so I will apologize for getting a bit out of line in my post to you.

Like gn85 said, stick around and see what this site has to offer. We are a good bunch of people that enjoy posting to each other. If you want to see uppity pricks that brag about what they have just visit a viper forum or a bimmer forum. This place is laid back as long as you dont ruffle the wrong feathers it will stay that way.

well lets see you saw about a 3000sq' home with a GN in front of it, then you saw a finished basement with a pinball machine & coke machine. when we bought our first 16,000 mile GN we paid more for that car than we paid for our used mobile home!!! we lived in for 7 years. we (my wife & I) worked hard for what we have. we're not doing to bad for a high school drop out that got a ged, & a high school (only) graduate.
