Help a dummy out....I don't understand what's going on in that first picture from the last post....All the headers on one side...Could it be a turbo inline 6?

SignUp Now!it almost looks like an old ford flat head slash hemi slash bad ass buick trifecta of an engine.this pic? looks like a belt driven SOHC (single overhead cam) prototype of some sort. all the tubing between the heads is the intake manifold, and there is no turbo on it.
i don't see any header pipes. looks like the exhaust ports have blockoff plates over them.LOL....just realized the 3 spark plug wires on the one side  I wish I could take that thing apart....and have someone else put it back together
Esh...and now I see the three header pipes coming from one side, and three coming from the other...I need to look at picture more closely before I open my mouth

definitely looks like a dual over head cam set up. The whole belt system on the outside just seems strange thought.
An inner chain system like the newer mustang cobras use would be stronger and more efficient.
Very cool to look at. it would be great to see inside it.
48#s of boost? wow!
1985 Buick Wildcat 24-valve DOHC Prototype Engine V-6 V6 in the Sloan Museum and Buick Automotive Gallery and Research Center at Flint, Michigan
i'm pretty sure GM took the lessons learned from that engine and decided to stick with a single cam-in-block 2 valve per head configuration. GM doesn't do DOHC very well, but they make the best pushrod engines out there.I think GM needs to grab that engine and produce it![]()

Yea really i think they need to pull a lil more from the past and some really cool things could be done in the future....That is true, too bad they didn't work a little bit more on the aurora v8
They also told me these motors were used by Michael Waltrip during his Busch days.
