Talking on a cell while driveing will be outlawed in a few months. Would like to get a hands free device. Dont like the ear bud thing. Would like something to put on the visor or dash. Has played with a few but not recently. Most sounded great but the person on the other end could barely hear me. Some transmit through the radio...some have there own speaker. Anyone expereince a really good device?

Parrot CK 3100 with a Quick Connect adapter harness.

My brother has a "blue ant” it’s a wireless speaker phone "thing" just like the ear "thing" but not on your ear. He has it clipped to the visor, it works pretty good I have used it a few times.

I run a Blue Ant "Supertooth II" clipped to my visor and love it.

Both look cool. Does the parot have a separate microphone. I see on in the picture but is it wireless? How does that work? The blue and also looks cool. Looks simpler...one piece and mounts on visor instead of suction cups to the window. Have not played with bluetooth in a while. What I did not like about my ear piece was, I had to turn on my blue tooth setting on my cell phone every time I used it. If I got a call at home I would have to find my ear piece or turn off the blue tooth. If I forgot my earpiece in the car I could not answer the phone till I turned the function off. Does anyone know how I can fix this? Dont know if I'm setting this up wrong on my phone or what. Thanks for the help.

With all bluetooth devices. Once they are paired with the phone, it's profile is always there.

If the device is turned on and in range you still usually have to press the button to re-pair the device. Turning the device off, of course solves the issue.

My blue ant for example. Just turning it on doesn't couple with the phone until I press the device button to re-pair them. They will stay paired until the device is turned off, or I get out of range. If you're in the car you should have no reason to "want" to use the phone instead of the BT device.

The Parrot has a little control box with a wired mic' that mounts where you'd like it-the main box hides behind your radio.
As long as bluetooth on the phone is enabled and the phone isn't paired to a headset already,it will automatically pair to the Parrot when you start the car.
I set the Parrot as the prefered Bluetooth device on my Harrier 6600.
Parrot also makes devices that have GPS built in,if you wish.
I would go to the devices websites and investigate the different models to decide.
