looking for a good size turbo

well everybody heres the the update,, i was planning on buying 60# injectors to help feed my new 61bb from jack.....but, i came across a smoking deal on a set of 009's and tt chip burnt for alky :rolleyes: so i get them in the car and Holy Shi*! i can't beleave how well the idle and all around manners of the car have been!! nite and day :) i was running about 21-22 psi before my knock det. would start to chirp and that was with my alky pump speed set at around 7-7.5 (older smc system) and now i'm at 24.5-25 psi with NO chirps at Any speed and pump speed is now at 4,, i guess my car really needed that extra fuel :biggrin: the car is now starting to move on the top end! so it's time for the bottom end,, i've got an art carr 9in 3000-3200 l/c converter on the way! i hope to have it in the car by next weekend :cool: MAN! i'm about to soil myself waiting on this thing,, i just hope this converter is what i need :confused: i'll keep everybody posted!! Terry
 
That converter should help a lot on the bottom end. Like I said, I have the 3000 l/u and the boost comes up QUICK with no help from a boost controller, that 14psi is straight from the spring in the wastegate (external).
 
all right!! just put in my new 9" art carr 3000 lock up and every thing seems real good..boost seams to come on quicker and stronger, and with less mass the flywheel is having to turn it revs quicker too!! well, what should i do next?? get rid of the stock exhaust :eek: ditch the 215-65-15's for some d/r's ? :rolleyes: some gn1's :wink: maybe a roller cam from full throttle :biggrin: i mite even upgrade the stock ribbed intake hose :D ....what do you guys think... next upgrade??

Spun a rod bearing,rebuild almost done. 210/210 hyd, roller,port and pol. heads port matched to manifold,020 109 block,billet caps,forged crnk,rods,pistons,alky kit,50 lb msds,65 mm plenum and tb ,340 walbro,adj reg,t.h. downpipe,2 1/2 atr,no cat.Currently running ta-49.2800 pts 9/11 conv.never been to track[yet] what size turbo could I move up to at present stall to keep decent low end response on the street??
 
Terry, do the exhaust then you need new tires!
 
exhaust it is!! where should i go?? cottons?? seturbo?? jay's?? and also i see a lot of you guys running a single system?? is this just for weight? what do you think.. thanks Terry :)
