Looking for a new/non stock steering wheel on my daily driver...

The other day i put a nic in my cars mint condition steering wheel while rolling out of my 60/40 pillowy seat. My knife must have just caught it while in my pocket and put a fingernail scratch in it, really upset me....

So i want to replace the wheel with a aftermarket one, but it want it to be one that i wont be dissapointed with.
My car is silver with the blackout and has grey cloth interior.

I have my eye on the GRT-1177 grant steering wheel, its in the july/august summit magazine on page 260 its a 4 spoke mahogany wheel..

If anyone has a different one on their car please let me know what you have and if you have pics, that would be great!
I just want one that the perfect size, not to big and not too small and of course the right color.

I thought about this myself, installing an aftermarket wheel. I just haven't seen any that ring my bell. Maybe I will some day. I've been trying to get a nice Reatta wheel. I missed a couple on Ebay and I just missed one at the junkyard. They are very similar to GN wheels, but I like them better. I have one on my red T.

my advice is to get a stock wheel off a 86-87 lesabre T type..same as GN..and you can pick it up for about 10-20 at local wrecking yards...i've got 2 of them now

I would get one of those low rider steering wheels. The kind that are made out of a chain. The 6 inch diameter would give you plenty of clearence when getting out of your car.

Those steering wheels mentioned, are the same as GNs. However, the thinner one you speak of is simply the same wheel with the leather ripped off, or never applied. If you tear the leather from your wheel, underneath appears with simulated stitching and texture molded into the plastic it is made from.
