Looking for a trans.

Any one in the mid west willing to part with a trans. out of a gn or tr. Mine is crapping out. Found out mine is just an ordinary 200 from a junkyard. Looking for a good one or a rebuildable from a gn or tr. Can a regular 200 be rebuilt to the same as an original gn or tr trans.?? Or even better??? Mine isn't completely shot, it just can't handle it when i put it to the floor.

I have one (200r4) in NC that was just rebuilt but never installed. I purchased everything from OPT including a new 2600rpm L/U converter and had a local shop go through it. Performance rebuild kit, Transgo shift kit, hardened stator tube, Alto Red wide band, GN servo, new TCC, etc. With labor and all, I have just under $1k in it. I'll let it go for $600. My plans have changed and I think a built TH400 would be better for me. Anyone interested?

Out of an '86 GN. I have no idea what it would cost to ship it to you. I'll try to check with a shipping co tomorrow. Curious... what does an empty trans and converter weigh?
