I am looking for a video that I saw years ago of two Grand Nationals racing a Viper and blowing the doors off of it. Anyone know where I can find it again?

I love that video. I just wonder if the guy in the viper is giving his all or not.

Yeah, I've always wondered that. Either the Viper didn't try or those GNs were BUILT.

erm... vipers arent all that man. What does one of those GTS's run? low 12s high 11s with a good driver?

at my local 1/8th mile there is a new viper that shows up regularly running low 8s. I have been meaning to line up against him to add that to the kill list.

It doesnt take a BUILT T/R to run better than those times. Mine still has a completely stock long block (except valve springs) and I don't have a doubt I could smoke a viper like that especially from a dig launching on the trans brake.

Im betting there are several archives of this story someplace...

If I recall, those are early Vipers and as such 12's would be closer to normal. The main Buick I *think* went 12ohs at the time. Mix in a missed shift and you get video!

Feel free to correct me as I dont have the story handy anymore.

The GN's were both running mid to high 11's at the time. The GN doing the filming and in the lead is Jeff Fox the other is mine. The video was taken in 96 or 97 both cars on stock computers and Modern Musclecar chips, my how times have changed. :D

You can also find some good videos on streetfire.net. All kinds racing, funny or wrecks....
