Hey everyone, I had to change my oil pan gasket a few months ago to fish out some trash (pulled cam sensor and washer fell into pan) and the pan hasn't sealed up since..I used the blue FelPro gasket and there was 1 bolt hole I couldn't get the gasket to line up over, must have pinched it because after I got it lined up it's always leaked from that spot, pretty severely. Can't really drive the car, sprays oil all over crossover pipe.

I have a new cork gasket from RJC and want to hire someone to come swap this thing out, maybe hang the drivers side exhaust (hanger broken) and help do some tuning. I haven't even been able to run this combo over 10 psi since the build and really want to see what this car is capable of.

I live in Lakeway right of 620, but don't have a garage. Got some jackstands and gray chat to work on, that's it.

Shop around the corner quoted me $250 to swap the gasket, so I'm looking to spend a bit less than that..let me know if you're willing to lend a hand!

Thanks!

Adrian

I can possibly drive the car within a few miles to a shop if necessary. Runs fine, just starts blowing oil on the crossover pipe and smokes within a few minutes of startup.

I can probably give you a hand if you can get it out to my shop at the house. I am in Cedar Park near 620.

I could help you out but I only have a 1 car garage and my GN is in there now and not quite ready to come out. Maybe in 3 weeks or so. Who knew that another GN owner was in Lakeway?? LOL

Do you still need help

Hey there,

Sorry I've been traveling and just saw this, Scott totally helped me out and we got the gasket replaced, all good here. Would love to BS Buick's sometime though! My car isn't inspected, tagged, or anywhere near legal but I still put around in it occasionally - give me a call or pm and we'll meet up!

I think I may have seen your car, seen a white TR pulling out of the gas station here next to Sandy's a couple times, is that you?

Scott is a good guy. I've haven't had the chance to go and visit him but I need to. I know he has some parts around there somewhere I need. :D

The White T was probably me :

I might have had the GN wheels on it then but I have the T wheels back on it now like you see here. I'm in the process of getting my GN ready for inspection, let me know if I can help you with anything. Be careful, the damn Lakeway cops dont play when it comes to tags, etc.. they've been eyeing my GN when they drive by.. haha the bastards cant catch me

That's it! Great looking car. I guess I need to find someone who could inspect w/o having cats..that's my main problem. Later on this month I should be able to get insurance on it then inspection and tags...then on to tuning this thing! I can't get it over 6psi w/o it running funny. Not sure where the problem lies. Let me know if you'd like to go for a ride in it for a possible diagnosis!

Thanks Gary!

Adrian, do you have a scantool? Directscan, turbolink, or any of the newer stuff? Its been a while but I know a thing or two about them. I'm in Leander off 183 and crystal falls. Be glad to help ya if I can.

Hey Gary,

Thanks for the offer, I'd love to meet up on a weekend sometime! All I have is a Scanmaster but hopefully it can get us in the ballpark..are you free on some Saturday/Sunday? I'll give you a ring. This thing should do 500rw and I'd love to get it there!
