Ok I have taken the 2-3 accumulator out of the servo, reduced the traval of the servo apply pin and my full throttle shifts are real nice but I still want a firmer shift from 2-3 to match the 1-2 which shifts real firm part or full throttle. Is there something else that controls the 2-3 part throttle shift firmness that I can modify. Does the modulated throttle valve have anything to do with that shift and if so what can I do to make it better ( firm or soft spring?) Thanks a lot:cool:

The modulator throttle valve will have no effect on the shift quality, the only thing I can suggest off the top of my head is try replacing the line bias spring with the strongest one you can find or even block it like TCI and others do with a blocker rod (roll-pin works fine) to keep it closed completely.

Cool deal. I will try that. With all this tranny work I've been doing I sure am glad I put a drain plug in the pan. I tighten the TV cable one click today and my shifts from 2-3 improved a noticable amount without raising the shift RPM too much at all, this tells me that I might have had the TV too loose and thats why it was softer from 2-3. In the past I have noticed that the TV adjustment has a more noticeable effect on the 2-3 than it does on the 1-2. My 1-2 is firm no matter what adjustment or amount of throttle so I got that one tackled now I think I will try the line bios that you were talking about just because I cant leave things alone, well I think we all have that problem in here huh, good is never good enough till it breaks then we try again lol:D Thanks again your info is right on:D
