It's been a while, but I remember seeing the video of a board member's kid drifting in their little electric plastic car. It was great. He also sold a hop up kit for the electric cars. I'm looking for the video, but I'm also interseted in the hop up kit for the electric car. Does anyone else remember seeing this?
Thanks,
John

That would be my son, Wil.

We're working on new cars and new videos for the near future.

Here is a link to his Power Wheels web page:

I was bored and installed a garden battery in the kids harley electric since the reg batterys were dead and they hadn't rode it in forever. After a little cutting if fit real good.... Well... 1st test drive threw the boy off the back...lucky he was on grass... then the rig started smokin.... took it all apart and it looked like it had fried the low speed out of it or something... Wired it all back together and let it run for awhile to confirm it wouldn't heat up again... everything seemed fine, only the thing has no low speed anymore... its either go like hell or stop.

I read your truth about garden batterys section and I have to agree. Only thing on this rig is though that that garden battery has been in there all summer and still takes a full charge on the trickle charger and lasts quite awhile.

This thing used to not run through grass and the kids had to drive it on the driveway. With its new found power it goes anywhere and the kids love it. Upping the power in these little rigs is pretty cool.

If I ever come across another of these suckers cheap I'll definatly be ordering your instructions to do it right. ;)

Cool videos.

The last button with the videos is a link to the CD order page. Those are all three great vehicles to modify. The high speed motor mod, nitrous button, brake pedal, tire swaps, gearbox swaps and other mods will work on these.

My CD seems to have struck a chord with tuners who's kids are too old to leave with mom and too young to take to the track yet. I can't say enough about Power Wheels ability to teach a young child to drive. The hard plastic tires teach slippery condition car control that would take a couple winters and a few wrecked cars for an adult to learn.

They resurfaced our local go kart track (1/2 mile road course) and it is very slick. With maybe 2 hours of seat time total in a 35 mph go kart, Wil was hanging the back end out in the corners and feeding in more gas like a pro. You forget he's only 6.
