Looking for...

...and old article in popular Hot Rod magazine about Kenny Bell taking a customers car(with the last name Mcdow or Mcdown) he had at the time, and making it a bolt-on beast that doubled the factory RWHP. The article had before and after dyno test for each mod that was performed on the car.

Anyone know were I could find it? I have a friend who would like to get a hold of the article.

funny you mention this. I threw it out like 2 weeks ago. It was a magazine that had build ups of 10 different engines. I did read it a little before I chucked it and had to laugh at the redline oil adding 5 hp, and the $1k set of headers adding 10hp, and then them losing HP with the 70mm TB. B4B is right, I also got a copy with my KB catalog about 4 years ago so they should have it.

The article was in Pouplar Hot Rodding oct 1997 pg 38 Titled " Double the power ?" pt 2 . I looked into my old mags and found this one , i belive there was another track test one . That was bolt on stuff . I think a later artcle went into the cam and ported heads .
