I'm sure this is one of those questions that has been asked before. Did the search and came up with nothing useful. My driver side sun visor doesn't stay up anymore. I tightend the nut on the visor but it still comes down. Any ideas?

I beleive these have the detent. The detent that is inside the visor is most likley shot. It should engage on the flats that had been stamped into the arm. The only way to fix it would be to replace the spring steel detent. That would require a detent, rivets and a sewing machine. Second thought you might try and slide the visor in or out a little and see if it came out of the detent position. Just pull or push on it a little while working the visor up or down and see if it snaps into position….worth a try..Don't pull it to far or it could come off the arm....Good luck

Remove the visor. If the pin that the screw runs into rotates you need a swivel.

It will be the pointy end.
If that is tight then you need the sleeve

There is a picuture of how the sleeve slides into the visor.
